Teacher Policy Guide
Last updated: July 2025
Welcome to Saied Music Studios! As a valued instructor, you play a critical role in creating an exceptional experience for our students and families.
To ensure consistency and clarity across all locations, please review and follow the policies outlined below. These align directly with our public-facing studio policies.
LESSON FORMATS & TUITION STRUCTURE
Weekly Lessons
Students are billed a flat monthly tuition and are entitled to a reserved 30-minute weekly lesson time.
Tuition is not prorated for holidays, closures, or missed lessons.
Tuition is auto-drafted from the student’s account on the 1st of each month.
Single Lessons
Priced individually and paid upfront at the time of booking.
Single Lessons are non-refundable and not eligible for rescheduling or credit.
Lesson Packages (6-Month Plan)
Paid in full at time of enrollment.
Deeply discounted; no makeups or refunds for missed or canceled lessons.
Term begins on the date of the first lesson and continues weekly for 6 months.
ATTENDANCE & CANCELLATIONS
Student Absences
Saied Music Studios does not offer makeups or reschedules for student absences, regardless of notice.
Instructors are paid whether or not a student attends.
If a student cannot attend, they are expected to self-cancel through their account at saiedmusic.opus1.io, which triggers automatic notifications to the teacher and staff.
Students may use Monetary Credits (if available) to rebook with another teacher within 60 days. Teachers do not manage this process.
Teacher Absences
If you are unable to teach, notify the Studios Team as soon as possible via text (918.252.5541) and email (studios@saiedmusic.com).
We will arrange for a substitute or issue a Monetary Credit to the student.
Please update your availability in Opus1 if your schedule changes long-term.
Tardiness
Teachers are required to wait 15 minutes for late students before marking the lesson as a no-show.
Lessons cannot be extended or made up due to late arrival.
TEACHER EXPECTATIONS & SUPPORT
All student scheduling, billing, and communication must go through the Saied Music Studios Team — not directly through the instructor.
Please redirect students or families to text 918.252.5541 or email studios@saiedmusic.com for any questions, schedule changes, or concerns.
Do not initiate changes to student lesson times or payment terms.
WEATHER AND CLOSURES
In the event of bad weather or other emergencies, Saied Music Studios will notify families and instructors via text and email if the studio is closed.
NOTE: If the studio is closed, you will still be paid for your scheduled lessons.
STUDENT WITHDRAWALS
Students must submit the official Withdrawal Form by the 15th of the month to cancel for the following month at lessons.saiedmusic.com/withdraw.
Students who fail to withdraw by this deadline are responsible for the next month's tuition.
Teachers will be notified of all withdrawals in advance.
EVENTS & ELIGIBILITY
Students must be enrolled in a current weekly plan or lesson package to participate in Saied Music Studios events or recitals.
FEES & PAYROLL
Teachers are paid for all scheduled lessons, including student no-shows and cancellations.
Payroll is processed based on your confirmed Opus1 schedule.
Please ensure your attendance logs are up to date.
SAFETY & STUDIO POLICIES
Teachers are not responsible for student supervision outside of lesson times.
For students 16 & under, a parent/guardian must remain in the building for the duration of the lesson.
Report any safety issues, injuries, or incidents immediately to the Studios Team.
MEDIA & SOCIAL
Photos and videos of students may be used in Saied Music Studios marketing.
Please ask your site coordinator before posting any student content to personal social media.
FINAL NOTES
All instructors are expected to uphold and model Saied Music Studios' values of professionalism, reliability, and student-first service.
Saied Music Studios reserves the right to adjust policies as needed and will communicate any changes promptly.
