Our Story
Saied Music Company was founded in 1946, on a busy street in downtown Tulsa. What started with a used drum set and a trumpet has grown into six locations and one of best full line music dealers in the country. Saied Music Co. serves the musical communities of Tulsa, North Little Rock, Fort Smith, Fayetteville, and Sherman with the best brands, industry experts, and a heart for service. On its third generation of leadership, Saied Music Co. has been family owned and operated for 80 years and counting.
Music Lessons Rooted in Legacy
At Saied Music Studios, the spirit of James Saied is present in every music lesson. Our studios are more than classrooms—they are part of a tradition that spans nearly eight decades of music advocacy.
Students of all ages can take private lessons in voice, piano, guitar, violin, saxophone, drums, and more. Our teachers are passionate, experienced, and committed to helping each student grow at their own pace. Whether it’s a child picking up their first instrument, a teen preparing for an audition, or an adult returning to music after years away, our studios offer a welcoming, supportive environment.

A March, a Mission, and a Movement
James Saied’s passion didn’t stop at music education. He was a devoted fan of John Philip Sousa and was instrumental in the successful effort to make “The Stars and Stripes Forever” the official National March of the United States. His advocacy, alongside NAMM President Ziggy Coyle, culminated in President Ronald Reagan signing it into law in 1987—just one more example of how deeply Saied believed in the role of music in American life.
That same belief is what drives Saied Music Studios today.

Jim Saied
Jim Saied founded Saied Music Company in 1946, returning from World War II with a passion for giving every child access to music. He opened his first Saied Music store in downtown Tulsa on January 10, 1946.

Bob Saied
Saied Music expanded regionally across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. Bob grew the company into a multi-location, full-line dealer and strengthened its role in music education and quality retail sales and service.
